The object of the Benevolent Fund is to relieve conditions of need of members, former members of Strathclyde Police Force, former members of previous Forces amalgamated within the constituent Forces, their families and dependants.
The convalescent homes are for the benefit of subscribing members, and retired officers. The purpose of the Homes is to offer physiotherapy, nursing care, rehabilitation, health education, and relaxation.
